Training Programme on Multisectoral Sexual Assault Interventions for Women

The following documents constitute the COSAI ‘Training Programme on Multisectoral Sexual Assault Interventions for Women’ and should be used together to deliver the programme.
The programme can be used with a multi-disciplinary audience from health, social and justice sectors, including either stakeholders within one sector or service, or bringing together different sectors dealing with sexual assault service design and provision.
The objective of the training is to promote best and appropriate practice by increasing knowledge about sexual violence and improving service design and provision based on the multisectoral approach needed to ensure the best possible outcomes for victims.
The training modules cover the following topics: the definition of sexual violence, root causes of violence against women, underreporting of this crime, the impact and consequences of sexual assault, and best practice methods based on the multi-disciplinary response by health, social and justice sectors.
Trainer's manual (pdf): provides instructions about how to present each of the sessions, the material needed and information about successful learning outcomes.
Participant handouts (pdf): includes the different exercises for participants during the training.
PowerPoint presentation (pptx): has the slides which accompany the manual and assist the trainer to present each module.
